Justice League was once a film mired in controversy, as Zack Snyder had to leave and Joss Whedon was hired to finish the film. After some time passed and plenty of fans petitioned, the Justice League: Snyder Cut was finally released and was widely more accepted than the original film. Well, more than the Whedon version that is. Now fans have been begging for the Suicide Squad: Ayer Cut after David Ayer allegedly received some of the same treatment. A never-before-seen picture of Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn has dropped, fueling more want of the Ayer Cut. See the picture below:

There are no details about why Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie) was in a wedding dress, but it could be a behind-the-scenes photo that has been taken out of context. Her iconic colors have been dyed directly into the dress. One thing is for sure, fans are going to want to see more of the Ayer Cut after seeing this pic. Especially since this photo follows the release of a clip that was released on Valentine’s Day. The clip shows a very hostile Joker talking to Harley Quinn during the helicopter rescue scene. The above picture is said to be a part of some sort of flashback or memory scene, and it could have meant a much deeper relationship between Quinn and someone else.

The initial Suicide Squad was poorly received, but director David Ayer told plenty of stories of Warner Bros’ involvement with the film. He claims to have rushed through reshoots, as well as, plenty of footage being changed without Ayer’s approval. There is no telling how more involved Margot Robbie would have been in the initial film. Fans alike have spoken in-depth about how convoluted the initial story was, and even Ayer admitted to not introducing the Harley Quinn character in the correct way.

With the above photo, it could have meant that Margot Robbie and Harley Quinn might have been much more involved, but a better version of her origin story might have been left on the editing room floor. With Joker also being all but removed, we could have seen a much deeper relationship between the pair, much like how they behaved in the original Batman animated series. Harley Quinn has become a fan-favorite since her live-action appearance and it would be great to know if she had a more developed story in the Ayer Cut.

The James Gunn version of Suicide Squad saw a similar element in that Harley Quinn tricks a warlord into believing that he had turned her into his wife, but in typical fashion, she kills the man in hilarious fashion and lays waste to the building full of soldiers. There is no telling if Ayer and Gunn had collaborated or borrowed a wedding idea from one another. With how popular the Snyder Cut became, it might only be a matter of time until the Ayer Cut is released. One thing is for sure, Margot Robbie looks amazing in a low-cut wedding dress.
