See Station Deep Space Nine Back On Star Trek, Inside And Out
Star Trek: Lower Decks took us in and around every part of Deep Space Nine, as it is now, years after Sisko departed the mortal world to live with the Prophets.
Star Trek: Lower Decks took us back to Deep Space Nine for the first time since the show ended its run in the nineties. It happened in season 3 episode 8, titled “Hear All, Trust Nothing”.
This wasn’t a Deep Space Nine cameo, the entire episode of Star Trek’s new animated series centered around and happened on the station. The focal point of the plot was Quark, it was almost as if we were in the middle of a straight up standard Quark episode of DS9.
Because it took place on DS9, that means we got a boatload of beauty shots from the station. Here’s Deep Space Nine with the starship Cerritos docked on a pylon…
But the episode wasn’t limited to outside flybys. This week’s Lower Decks took us in and around all the most beloved parts of the station, starting with, of course, Ops…
I don’t know how much more perfect their rendition could have been. Deep Space Nine’s command center looks just the way Sisko left it.

And everything’s still the same. You can easily imagine Jake and Nog sitting on the second level dangling their feet…
The episode was particularly focused on spending a lot of time in the infamous Quark’s Bar. It’s never looked better…

Lower Decks creator Mike McMahan and his team got so detailed and spent so much time on the station that they even perfectly replicated things like hallways, those weird circular cog doors, and conference rooms…
Siko’s office even still has his baseball in it. Kira keeps it there in the hopes that some day, the Sisko will return from visiting with the Prophets in their celestial temple…
That doesn’t mean everything has stayed the same on Deep Space Nine, in the time we’ve been gone. Quark has been busy and in addition to franchising Quark’s Bar into 21 new locations, he’s also put in a bustling gift shop…
Next time you need to visit the Gamma Quadrant, make sure you stop by Deep Space Nine before you head through the wormhole to grab a pair of novelty Ferengi ears. The station is still there, waiting for Sisko’s return.
