Daredevil: Born Again Episode Details Leaked And There’s One Thing Fans Aren’t Happy About

Long before Disney+ was even a twinkle in an executive’s eye, the Marvel Cinematic Universe expanded its reach to Netflix with a series of more mature superhero series. The first of these was the dark and brooding Daredevil, and after many years and intense fan demand, Disney will be bringing our favorite horned hero back in the Disney+ series Daredevil: Born Again. But he may not be as “horny” as you remember: according to GameRant, alleged episode details have been leaked, and there may be entire episodes where the hero doesn’t put on his suit and kick criminal ass.

It’s still a while away, but a Daredevil: Born Again leak points to multiple episodes where Charlie Cox never puts on his leather supersuit.

Fans of the original Netflix Daredevil show got used to episodes that effortlessly weaved themselves around the titular hero’s dual identities. By day, we’d see Matt Murdock and his partner Foggy Nelson fighting for truth and justice as empathetic lawyers who offer legal help to those who otherwise couldn’t afford it. By night, though, Murdock would suit up in his devilish costume and deal out a very different kind of justice to criminals who work for big-time scum like Wilson Fisk, the Kingpin of Crime.

If these rumors prove to be true, then Daredevil: Born Again will turn this formula on its pointy ears by having entire episodes that focus primarily on Matt Murdock’s legal career. On paper, this idea isn’t as crazy as it may sound: when we last saw Murdock suit up, it was in the She-Hulk: Attorney At Law show. While we loved that show, we have to admit that the courtroom shenanigans were often much more entertaining than seeing badly rendered CGI characters fight each other in scenes straight out of a video game cutscene, and Murdock’s own legal drama may be similarly entertaining.

Following the storyline from a recent Daredevil comic series, Vincent D’Onofrio’s Kingpin is now the Mayor of New York City.

What has us nervous about Daredevil: Born Again devoting so much time to Matt Murdock’s legal career is that fan-favorite supporting characters Foggy Nelson and Karen Page won’t be returning in the new show. While we’re sad to see the actors go (Elden Henson and Deborah Ann Woll were, respectively, the heart and soul of the original show), we’re now that much sadder about what this means for the new show’s new direction. Honestly, it seems difficult to get excited about episodes focusing on Murdock’s law firm when two-thirds of that legal team has been benched.

Despite the absence of these characters, Daredevil: Born Again will feature the return of one actor that gives us hope for the show’s new direction…Vincent D’Onofrio will once again be playing the Kingpin. In a fun twist, the Kingpin will play the mayor rather than a shadowy underworld mover and shaker, and this new angle could make the focus on Murdock’s legal career both logical and rewarding. In short, Kingpin will now have more legal protection and clout than ever before, and Murdock will likely discover that he can do far more damage to his foe in the courtroom than he can in the streets.

We won’t know whether these rumors about Daredevil: Born Again are true until the show premieres in January on Disney+. Until then, all we can do is speculate about what we’d like to see in the new show and whether it can successfully fill the tall boots left behind by the old show. Speaking of tall boots, we’re personally crossing our fingers for a She-Hulk cameo that continues the sparking chemistry the two characters shared back in her Attorney At Law show.
