The Avengers have actually managed to maintain most of their numbers over the course of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s run. However, there have been some members of the group that have died and seem to be staying dead. Now, we have a report that seems to indicate one of them will be back in a significant way.

Instagram user serlentpops posted this picture for the upcoming release of a special package deal of Funko’s Pop! Vinyl figures. It looks to be in connection to WandaVision, the upcoming show that will debut this December on the streaming platform Disney+. The set features Vision and another unofficial member of the Avengers. Yes, it appears that Quicksilver will be returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe in an upcoming episode of WandaVision. Quicksilver was last seen in Avengers: Age of Ultron where he sacrificed his life to save Hawkeye. Exactly how can he be showing up in WandaVision if he’s dead? Well, that seems to be one of the core mysteries surrounding the show since Vision is also dead. And it all has to do with Scarlet Witch.

In the comics, Scarlet Witch is one of the most powerful members of the Avengers. She has abilities that can change or distort reality. Since we know that the Marvel Cinematic Universe is planning to jump into the strangeness of the multiverse, it could very well be that Scarlet Witch is tapping into alternate universes and is utilizing them to change her life.

If WandaVision takes place in an altered reality due to Scarlet Witch’s powers, it is likely that she would reverse the death of Quicksilver since he was her brother. The gist of WandaVision seems to be hinting that all these strange occurrences are happening because of Scarlet Witch’s powers. Is she pulling a Quicksilver from another alternate universe? If so, is that one where he didn’t die and ended up joining the Avengers?

This might all sound like a stretch considering it’s coming off a toy package, but those are often some of the more telling pieces of movie news. Packaging Vision and Quicksilver figures together seems like a strange pairing considering the two have not been on-screen together since Avengers: Age of Ultron. However, including them together and going off what it looks like WandaVision will be about, Quicksilver appearing in the Disney+ show seems all but guaranteed at this point.

Quicksilver Avengers Age of Ultron

Or maybe Funko had a bunch of leftover Quicksilver figures from Avengers: Age of Ultron and figured this was an easy way to off-load them. That’s just as likely, but we like to think that this is keying us into what we can expect from WandaVision. In fact, it would be shocking for Quicksilver to be completely forgotten considering his relationship to Scarlet Witch. We are going to put all our chips on this one being a genuine reveal. We can’t wait to find out the answer when WandaVision premieres on Disney+ this December.
