Andrew Garfield is finally having his moment, and we are all here for it. The 38-year-old LA native might be more recognizable as the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man from his 2012 portrayal of the superhero in The Amazing Spider-Man and its 2014 sequel. However, he had a well-earned Hollywood revival this year for his acclaimed work in four completely different films. And yesterday, Netflix treated fans of the beloved actor to nearly an entire minute of pure Andrew Garfield gold, as the streaming company dropped a delightful blooper reel to Twitter from his recent Netflix film, Tick, Tick…BOOM!

See the blooper footage below:

Sure to make anyone smile, the 48-second blooper clip was quite different than the other trending gag reel that covers ten minutes of Peacemaker bloopers, but Andrew Garfield’s bubbly presence stole the hearts of countless people yesterday on Twitter. The outtakes from Tick, Tick…BOOM! depicted Garfield throwing banana peels, pouring milk over his head, and a couple of great one-liners like “Fan-Dabi-Dozi!” and “son of a gun, we’re gonna have big fun!” And while Garfield’s celebrated portrayal of the late Jonathan Larson needed no help, the gag reels only showcase how deserving Garfield is this upcoming award season.

For those unfamiliar with the film that the bloopers were shared for, they were from the heavily nominated Netflix biographical music drama that began streaming on the site on November 19th. Tick, Tick…BOOM! was directed by fellow Broadway aficionados and the man behind Disney’s latest animated hit, Encanto, the prestigious Lin-Manuel Miranda. The film, which is a deep dive inside the mind of famed Rent composer, the late Johnathan Larson, followed the composer’s earlier years. As a promising young theater composer, Andrew Garfield’s depiction of the late composer navigated love, friendship, and the pressure of life as a starving artist in the Big Apple. On the cusp of his 30th birthday, Larson becomes consumed with his ideas to create a visionary show called Superbia while the film follows his attempts to write the play.

Since premiering last fall, Andrew Garfield and Lin-Manuel Miranda have been highly praised for their work in the biopic. Touting a promising run during this year’s upcoming award season, Tick, Tick…BOOM! Is nominated for a plethora of awards, including Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy at the 79th Golden Globe Awards, and Best Picture at the 27th Critics’ Choice Awards. For his performance, Garfield earned numerous awards, including the Golden Globe Award for Best Actor – Motion Picture Musical or Comedy, as well as a nomination for the Academy Award for Best Actor.

The past year or so has found Andrew Garfield climbing the ladder amongst Hollywood’s most elite actors in the industry. And while many Marvel fans would have previously picked any other Peter Parker actor above him, his outstanding performance in Spider-Man: No Way Home landed vast approval from the comic genre fanbase. Similarly, Garfield starred in two more films recently. He played a maniacal influencer in Mainstream and a controversial evangelical character in The Eyes of Tammy Faye. And while fans wait to see if Garfield will ever reprise his role as Peter Parker again, we are sure the actor is headed for a long and lucrative career in film.
