Taylor Swift achieved a historic milestone by becoming the first female artist, and only the third overall, to simultaneously have four albums in the Top 10 of the Billboard 200 chart. Due to the release of Speak Now (Taylor’s Version), the songstress also became the female artist with the most number one albums in history, a record previously held by Barbra Streisand.

Taylor Swift is the first woman to ever have four albums in the Billboard Top 10 at the same time.

According to DeadlineSpeak Now (Taylor’s Version) sold 716,000 album-equivalent units in its debut week. Taylor Swift’s three other albums in the Billboard 200 Top 10 are 2022’s Midnights at number five, 2019’s Lover at number seven, and 2010’s Folklore at number 10.

Herb Alpert had four albums, Going Places, Whipped Cream & Other Delights, South of the Border, and The Lonely Bull, in the Top 10.

Another artist who reached this extraordinary milestone was Prince, who, following his passing, dominated the Billboard Top 10 charts with The Very Best of Prince, the Purple Rain soundtrack, The Hits/The B-Sides, Ultimate, and 1999. However, this isn’t Taylor Swift’s first Billboard record. In October 2022, she made history by becoming the first artist to claim all ten spots on Billboard’s Hot 100.

While Taylor Swift has remained silent about her recent achievements, she has shared her thoughts about the album, which she wrote between the ages of 18 and 20, on social media. “It’s here. It’s yours; it’s mine, it’s ours. It’s an album I wrote alone about the whims, fantasies, heartaches, dramas, and tragedies I lived out as a young woman,” she wrote.

Released on July 7, 2023, through Republic Records, Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) is Taylor Swift’s third re-recorded album, following Fearless (Taylor’s Version) and Red (Taylor’s Version), which were released in 2021. Swift’s decision to re-record her albums is part of her effort to regain control over her music catalog after the ownership of her masters changed.

Taylor Swift celebrated the release of her recent album in Kansas City earlier this month as she wraps up the U.S leg of her Eras Tour.

Containing a total of 22 tracks, Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) includes six new From the Vault tracks. As part of the promotion for the album, the re-recorded version of “If This Was a Movie,” one of the three deluxe edition songs from the original album, was released as a single. Fans of vinyl records will be pleased to know that the album will be available as a set of three marbled violet LPs.

Moreover, a Target-exclusive edition featuring lilac-marbled vinyl and another edition with orchid-marbled vinyl will also be released. The original tracks on the initial Speak Now album were penned by Taylor Swift alone as she attempted to cling to her girlhood.

The album was a response to the criticism that Swift didn’t write her own songs, so she didn’t collaborate with anyone for her third studio album.

Although slight disparities in production and sound quality may exist between the original Speak Now and the re-recorded Speak Now (Taylor’s Version), the overall integrity of the sound and musical arrangements remains loyal to the essence of the original album.
