British actor Julian Sands’ cause of death has officially been cited as “undetermined,” CNN Entertainment reports. “The cause is undetermined due to the condition of the body and because no other factors were discovered during the coroner’s investigation,” Public Information officer for the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Coroner Department, Mara Rodriguez, said in a statement.

Rodriguez added that an “undetermined” ruling is standard when dealing with deaths of this nature. In June, human remains discovered in the Mount Baldy area were confirmed to belong to Julian Sands, who disappeared during a hike in January. Challenging weather conditions impeded search efforts to locate the actor.
