If you are training to be at your peak for nearly every role in which you are cast, it pays to explore every option when it comes to physical betterment. And it sure seems like Chris Hemsworth is the kind of guy that takes this kind of thing seriously. He’s posted videos of his workout routines in the past and the results are clearly there. Heck, this guy played Thor for Odin’s sake. And he’s going to reprise the role sooner than later. Well, in the meantime, we are getting another window into just what this guy will put his body through.

Chris Hemsworth took to Instagram to post a picture of him and his brother lying in the white powder, taking what he calls a snow bath, comparing it to the ice bath remedy that’s been gaining in popularity of late. He looks as relaxed as one could hope to imagine considering the frigid circumstances and though this might be for a bit of show, it stands to reason Hemsworth has taken part in more than a few alternative healing measures. Check out what Hemsworth posted and let me know if you’d be down to get this cold on your own.

This isn’t some crazy practice, getting into extreme cold temperatures for short spurts. Ice baths, and presumably snow baths, have been known to help with healing and relaxation, easing muscle aches and spurring recovery after workouts. Chris Hemsworth understands as much. Now, how long did these two dudes stay out there in the powder? That part we won’t know.

Though it’s not mentioned in the post, it stands to reason these pictures are being taken in and around Prague in the Czech Republic. That’s where Chris Hemsworth is currently filming Extraction 2. He’s posted a number of different scenes of him and his family, as well as some of the movie crew, reveling in the elements there. The sequel will revisit his character Tyler Rake who really looked like he bit it over a bridge at the end of the first movie. But we knew that wasn’t the case when a shadowy outline of Rake appeared in the background in the final scene. This sequel will have another plot, another extraction if you will, but will still have director Sam Hargrave helming it with Joe and Anthony Russo executive producing.

Plus, Chris Hemsworth has also finished up filming Thor: Love & Thunder which we are set to get next summer. The plan is to release it on July 8, 2022, and it will be the final turn for Hemsworth in the role. It will see Natalie Portman reprise her role as Jane Foster while setting the stage for her to become Mighty Thor. We’ll also get Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie, the entire Guardians of the Galaxy crew, and will introduce Christian Bale into the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Gorr the God Butcher.

So it’s all good in the world for Chris Hemsworth who has plenty going on. Amidst it all, he’s still finding time to freeze his ass off in the name of staying healthy.
