Brie Larson Trends After Hinting She’s Gay

Brie Larson has trended for a lot of things in the past. Some good things like cool casting news. Other times, not so great stuff like when dopes don’t like some of that same casting news. But she’s making the trending rounds again today for an entirely different reason than a movie or an upcoming role. No, today it’s because Brie Larson gave a possible hint that she is gay.
Brie Larson was streaming a video on her YouTube channel for fans and was answering questions from online quizzes about herself. One of the questions asked what she would do at recess when she was ten years old. As an answer, Larson responded that she’d be in the library, “researching ‘how do I know if I’m gay?” You can check out the video here with the actress answering the question:
Obviously this created quite a stir with her fanbase and a number of folks weighed in on Twitter supporting Briel Larson if this was in fact the case. Most of the tweets were of this variety:
They had a clip of Brie Larson going through the question and answer with fans ringing in that they simply wanted her to confirm it without the cloak and dagger piece or the uncertainty. As of this writing, that Twitter video clip had been viewed more than 1.5 million times with tons of tweets reacting to the answer.
Brie Larson being gay is really neither here nor there for her career at this point, but would be a talking point for her legions of fans. After all, she plays one of the most powerful and recognizable characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Captain Marvel and that’s set to be the case for quite some time.
While originally the focus of an online smear campaign by a bunch of losers when she was first cast in the part, Brie Larson has definitively crushed the role since. In fact, Marvel is reportedly going to make her the highest-paid actress ever for her upcoming role in Captain Marvel 2. Apparently, that number is going to be in the $15 million range. It makes sense considering the first movie in the franchise earned a rather ho-hum $1.2 billion dollars at the box office. Does she deserve a payday? Most definitely.
And that’s not it for the superstar actress. Because Marvel and Disney are working more and more to keep their talent evenly distributed through the two companies, rumors are also swirling that she’ll soon take the role of a Disney princess. It doesn’t really get more high profile than this.
In terms of this latest stir, it’s likely Brie Larson knew what she was saying in the video clip, though it’s far from a definitive confirmation on her sexuality. Whether it’s ever brought up again remains to be seen. In the meantime, we will have to wait a bit before we get the actress in her next role, that aforementioned Captain Marvel sequel. Currently in pre-production, it isn’t slated to hit screens until some time in 2022.
