All That Star Lori Beth Denberg Alleges Even More Horrific Dan Schneider Behavior During Nickelodeon Leadership

Lori Beth Denberg was on the cast of the kids’ sketch show All That from 1994 to 1998 when Dan Schneider served as a head writer on the show. Speaking of the alleged porn incident, Denberg said, “I feel like that is the first time he preyed on me.” She also described her overall relationship with Schneider as a “weird, abusive friendship.” 

When Lori Beth Denberg first joined All That, she was just 17 years old, though the sexual incidents with Dan Schneider didn’t begin until the alleged porn incident when she was 19. In addition to showing her these clips, Denberg also accused him of discussing sexual topics when on the phone with her and even trying to initiate phone sex at one point. She also said that she would sometimes sleep over at Schneider’s house and sometimes give each other massages.

One specific incident that Lori Beth Denberg detailed was a night when she and Dan Schneider were watching Jeopardy! at his house and they made a bet where the winner would get a massage. After winning, Schneider allegedly gave Denberg a massage where he fondled her breasts and put his mouth on them. As detailed in the documentary Quiet on the Set about alleged abuse on Nickelodeon shows, Schneider has been accused by multiple other cast and crew members of asking for massages.

Lori Beth Denberg also talks about an experience where Dan Schneider allegedly screamed and lashed out at her during dinner. According to Denberg, the dinner included other writers and crew members and Schneider asked everyone if they thought Denberg had different size breasts. When Denberg threw a piece of bread at him in response, she said he began screaming at her.

Lori Beth Denberg said of the incident, “It was one of those turns that was just really upsetting and scary.” In the Quiet on the Set documentary, many other cast and crew members also spoke of times when Dan Schneider would allegedly lash out and verbally rage at people. Another disturbing alleged incident that Denberg mentions is a time when Denberg and Schneider were pulled over while driving, and Schneider asked her to hide a gun he had under her skirt so the police couldn’t see it.

In response to Lori Beth Denberg, Dan Schneider has said her accusations are “wildly exaggerated and, in most cases, false.” He also added, “As I have previously stated, there were times, particularly in the early years of my career, that I made mistakes and exhibited poor judgment as a leader,” If I did that with respect to Lori Beth, I sincerely apologize to her. But I cannot apologize for things I did not do.”
