Who knew George Lucas ate seven lunches a day? In a new parody video about Star Wars: Episode VII, a sketch comedy group addresses Star Wars fans’ concern for Disney’s involvement in their beloved science fiction series. The parody video also reveals a hilarious George Lucas impression that might be more fact than fiction.

The Millennium Falcon as a mobile home? Not so sure about that. The best parts of the parody video are the musical number, featuring “Candle-e” from Disney’s Beauty and the Beast — any musical number can spruce up a movie — and the bonus space senate scenes. What Star Wars needs are more scenes involving space aliens discussing laws in a fictional galaxy!

Hopefully the new Star Wars won’t be as cheeky as this parody video. Disney’s involvement with Star Wars and Lucasfilm may not be as overt or as troubling as some believe. Disney has the resources to make Episode VII happen, they just need to get out of the way of the creative team so they can do their jobs.

The YouTube video comedy group Barely Political made this parody video. They are based in New York City and are responsible for the YouTube videos “The Key of Awesome,” “Rated: Awesome,” and “Barely Guys.”
