New Doctor Who Trailer Teases The Doctor’s 2013 Return

With the airing of their annual Christmas special, “The Snowmen,” Doctor Who is officially finished for the remainder of 2012. Lucky for all of you, there isn’t all that much 2012 left to make it through. On the bright side, there are still more episodes of series seven waiting for us on the other side of the New Year. It will all culminate with the long-awaited, star-studded 50th anniversary special. And from the look of this new teaser trailer for the remainder of the seventh season, there is a lot to look forward to in 2013.
“The Snowmen” finally properly introduced fans to the Time Lord’s latest companion, Clara Oswin Oswald (Jenna-Louise Coleman). There’s sure to be a getting to know you period for the Doctor and Clara, but this won’t be a normal, sitting down for tea, chitchatting, trading funny childhood anecdotes period where they can get comfortable with one another. Oh no, there’s going to be plenty of action, adventure, and space themed mayhem. At least this will give them a chance to see how the other one handles their business in stressful situations. There’s going to be a motorcycle chase, after all.
Such escapades will give everyone ample opportunity to dig into the mysteries of Clara’s background. We’re also going to get some Cybermen, all sorts of other sinister monsters and enemies, another new episode scribbled by Neil Gaiman, and at least a few more surprises. Basically the rest of series seven should be a damn lot of fun as we follow the Doctor and Clara through space and time.
