Considering how steadfast some fans are in their belief that Benedict Cumberbatch is playing Khan Noonien Singh in J.J. Abrams’ upcoming sequel, Star Trek Into Darkness, it’s no wonder that Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan is at the forefront of many minds. But even with all of the speculation about Khan’s potential return, the focus is always on Into Darkness.

While no one is going to claim that people are ignoring Wrath of Khan, it’s easy to forget for a moment how completely amazing that movie is. Just in case you need to be reminded of this fact, here is a fan-made trailer that will compel you put down whatever you’re doing and throw on the second Star Trek movie.

This video, edited together by Jeff Vitkuske, is far too long—clocking in at almost four minutes—and far too spoilery to serve as a real-world trailer. But goddamn, will it ever make you want to watch Wrath of Khan, like, right now. In the end, isn’t that what a trailer is supposed to do?

And just in case you happen to be wondering, Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan is up on Netflix right at this very instant. With a few easy mouse clicks, you could be up and streaming Ricardo Montalban as a genetically enhanced villain. Doesn’t that sound like the perfect way to while away a few hours?

This video contains one bit of evidence that many have pointed to in order to substantiate their claims that Khan is the villain of Into Darkness. There’s a dramatic moment in Wrath of Khan when Kirk and Spock press their hands against the glass that separates them, and there is a similar incident in Into Darkness. We’ll find out for sure in May.
