With Xbox implementing their incredibly popular game pass, certain Microsoft games can also be easily transferred over between shared devices, and also played via their cloud gaming service. The newest game that has been added to the cloud streaming is none other than the Microsoft Flight Simulator. While most of us won’t ever get behind the controls of a plane, this is as close to the real thing as one can get. Well, there are flight simulators that can be done at facilities, but this simulator can be played from the comfort of your home. While this flight simulation game was meant for PC players initially, now it can be played on smartphones and any other device that contains a web browser.

Smartphones have jumped in technology and capabilities throughout the past five years, and that includes phones now coming with processors that are usually involved in PC builds. While a phone isn’t exactly going to be able to match the level of games that a computer can handle, they still do well to handle some strong games. That is certainly now the case for being able to handle the graphically demanding Microsoft Flight Simulator. This flight simulator was one of the most popular games in 2020 and a love letter to those who love anything in aviation. The game is said to be highly accurate and uses a real-world map to track your flights.

With how accurate Google Earth is, the Microsoft Flight Simulator is also said to allow users to take postcard-worthy pictures to share or to keep in your collection in case you never actually get to visit the places that you fly over in the game. The fact that we have reached such capabilities for gaming while using a phone is astonishing. Xbox Cloud Gaming has certainly helped in bringing fan-favorite titles to even more players. It is said that Microsoft has upgraded their data centers, which has allowed the cloud to host the ability to stream games like the Flight Simulator. While the company doesn’t offer 4K capabilities just yet, it is said to be on its way. The cloud service currently runs 1080p and 60 fps. Xbox is certainly starting to separate itself from the gaming pack with how its cloud gaming and Game Pass services operate.

There is no wonder how and where gaming will be in the next five years considering the emergence of cloud gaming and VR. Fans of Microsoft who were aching to play the Flight Simulator, but couldn’t afford an Xbox, can now join in on taking to the high skies. The series initially started way back in 1982, it has gone through several editions. The most recent edition came out in 2020. Virtual reality support was implemented as well as the console versions coming out in July of 2021. The Microsoft Flight Simulator can be played on Xbox consoles right now, PC, and IOS and Android phones. This also includes being able to use any manner of a tablet as well. Be ready to play one of the most accurate simulations right on your phone, but keep a charger handy.
