My Hero Academia Teases The Biggest Fight In The Anime’s History

The premiere of My Hero Academia’s next season is just a day away, and hype is at an all-time high. To bring that hype level even higher, TOHO Animation dropped a trailer to give us a glimpse at a central hero in the upcoming arc – the #1 American hero, Star and Stripe. While we don’t get a glimpse of Star and Stripe’s quirk, the clip makes it clear that she is going to play a big role in the upcoming battle.

In fact, the upcoming arc of My Hero Academia is called the Star and Stripe Arc, so she’ll be heavily featured in the upcoming season. We got to briefly see Star and Stripe appear at the end of last season, as it was revealed that All Might had reached out to the other major countries to help address the growing threat of the Paranormal Liberation Front, All for One, and the newly awakened Tomura Shigaraki. While other world leaders were still conferring about sending their heroes overseas, Star and Stripe was already on her way, standing proud on a fighter jet no less, to help All Might out.

The last season of My Hero Academia was decidedly darker than previous seasons, as we saw Shigaraki cause major destruction after being reawakened with his new powers.

Along with being America’s #1 hero, Star and Stripe also has a connection to All Might, which might explain why she was so quick to join the fight. It’s a good thing too, because the heroes of Japan were in pretty dire straits at the end of the previous season of My Hero Academia. Although Shigaraki was temporarily subdued, his new incredible power makes it clear that this won’t be an easy battle for the heroes.

The last season of My Hero Academia was decidedly darker than previous seasons, as we saw Shigaraki cause major destruction after being reawakened with his new powers. Although they were technically able to come out of the battle with Shigaraki out of commission for the time being, the threat of All for One is growing as the heroes lost many in the process. This also led to Deku taking matters into his own hands, eventually causing his classmates to step in and bring him back to UA High when he was almost to the point of exhaustion.

My Hero Academia debuts May 4 on Crunchyroll.

My Hero Academia continues to be one of the most popular anime and manga series out there, although the manga is gradually coming to an end and is currently in its final arc. That means we can expect at least a couple more seasons of the anime (likely more), but the definitive end to the story is definitely on its way. Meanwhile, fans have been patiently waiting for the anime to return, and it’s sure to bring in plenty of viewers for the premiere of Season 7.

Fortunately, we don’t have to wait long at all for the premiere of My Hero Academia Season 7 and the debut of Star and Stripe. The first episode will be available tomorrow, May 4. Episodes are set to air weekly and you can stream them over on Crunchyroll.
