A trilogy for The Bride? Tarantino has always hinted at wanting to make a third Kill Bill movie. For a while there, it was assumed that because of ill will between Quentin and Kill Bill star Uma Thurman that it could never happen as Tarantino’s next movie. That has changed and the two are getting along again making Kill Bill: Vol. 3 possible.

However, Quentin Tarantino has vowed that he’s about to retire and he’ll only make one more movie before he’s done. What that movie will be has remained a mystery, but it’s clear that Kill Bill: Vol. 3 is definitely in the mix. It’s possible that Quentin may even decide Kill Bill: Vol. 3 doesn’t count as another movie since it’s the continuation of a story he already started, leaving the window open for him to make two more movies. Tarantino just has to make up his mind.

Casting Kill Bill: Vol. 3

If Kill Bill: Vol. 3 moves forward, the biggest role they’ll have to cast is that of Vernita Green’s now grown daughter. In the original movies she’s played by Ambrosia Kelley, who is now grown up and is 24-years-old. That’d put her at the right age to play the character again, though that seems unlikely.

Ambrosia Kelley in Kill Bill

So, who could play Vernita’s revenge seeking daughter in Kill Bill: Vol. 3? Vernita Green herself, Vivica A. Fox, has ideas. While talking to NME she had this to say…

I haven’t got any official word… I had a feeling that hopefully [Tarantino] was waiting on [the actress who plays] my daughter to grow up a little bit. But then I was doing an interview and they asked ‘What young actress would you get to play your daughter?’ and I was like ‘No, Ambrosia [Kelley]!’ but they meant an established actress. So I went, Zendaya! How hot would that be? And that would probably green light this project. Because her and Uma are both very tall, and it would just be kick-butt ,and I love her.

Hopefully now we can put that out, like ‘Tarantino, cast Zendaya!’ And spark his interest to put it on the fast track. Wouldn’t it be amazing?

Zendaya would seem to fit the part and she is the kind of outside the box casting that Quentin Tarantino really likes. Fans seem on board with the idea too, as evidenced by this poster showing off what Zendaya would look like in the part…

Is Kill Bill: Vol. 3 Happening?

Recently Vivica A. Fox, who played Vernita Green in the first two movies, spoke out about the possibility of Kill Bill: Vol. 3 to CINEMABLEND. The way she tells it, it sounds like talks about making are actually happening.

Here’s what Vivica had to say about where Kill Bill: Vol. 3 is at with Tarantino..

Oh my gosh, I can’t wait. It rears its ugly head every couple of years. They’ll say, ‘So, Vivica, Kill Bill 3, they’re trying to make a sequel to all your movies. I think they’re waiting for my daughter to grow up.’ And then you always hear that Quentin falls in and out of love with Hollywood. He’s like, ‘I’m done, I’m back, I’m done.’ So, the latest I’ve heard is that him and Uma have been talking, and I’d love for them to figure it out. Quentin is great with flashbacks and figuring out some kind of way to make his characters alive again in a film. So, I’m really hoping that Vernita Green gets her revenge.

What Kill Bill: Vol. 3 Will Be About

Tarantino has stated he has plenty of ideas on where to take The Bride if a Vol. 3 ever happens, though he hasn’t share exactly what those ideas consist of.

For a long time though, we’ve heard rumors that the plot of Kill Bill: Vol. 3 would follow the daughter of Vivica A. Fox’s Vernita Green character. In Kill Bill: Vol. 2 you’ll remember that Uma Thurman’s Bride kills Vernita Green and after she does so tells Vernita’s young daughter that she’ll be waiting if she “still feels raw about it.” So now years later, she does still feel raw about it. Vernita Green’s daughter has grown up and is hunting down The Bride to exact her revenge on the woman who murdered her mother.

Bad Blood Between QT And Uma

The source of contention between Tarantino and Uma Thurman has always been an accident. During the filming of Kill Bill: Vol. 2, Uma Thurman was hurt in a car crash. Tarantino took full blame for the crash but it didn’t stop the bad feelings from Thurman.

When asked about a possibility of making Kill Bill: Vol. 3 his next movie, Tarantino cleared up the bad blood between he and Thurman on Sirius XM last December. He says, “I just so happened to have dinner with Uma Thurman last night. We were at a really cool Japanese restaurant. She was bragging about me, and I was bragging about her. It was a lovely night.”
