When New Line Cinema took a chance on Peter Jackson and his idea for a Lord of the Rings trilogy, Hollywood was taking a massive risk as nothing to the scale of what Jackson wanted to do had ever been done before. But then they did it, and it was a massive success that has since branched off into the Hobbit trilogy, The Rings of Power series, and now the announcement for the Lord of the Rings reboot. While not much information has been released about what the reboot will involve, here are Giant Freakin Robot we decided to use AI to see how Jessica Chastain would look as an elf in the upcoming films.

The image features the red-headed Hollywood darling as an unnamed forest elf dressed in an emerald green gown that elegantly contrasts with the ember color of her hair. In the image, Jessica Chastain’s hair falls loosely over her shoulders, covering up what we expect are pointed elf ears. Chastain carries a bow and arrow, which we assume her character holds high proficiency in, especially if she is from the same collection of woodland elves in Northern Mirkwood where the Lord of the Rings’ most talented sharpshooter, Legolas, is from.

In fact, we can guess from the elegant and gold embroidered fabrics that the artist depicted Jessica Chastain’s character to be from a wealthy Lord of the Rings family, possibly even royalty, and as a woodland elf, it’s entirely possible the artist was imagining Chastain to be from the royal family in Northern Mirkwood—possibly even Legolas’s little sister, Luthien Thranduiliel, the Princess of Mirkwood. While Luthien and Legolas are usually described and depicted as fair-skinned blonds, not redheads, it’s possible the artist was imagining what the royal Mirkwood family could look like with a more Celtic-inspired heritage.

However, whether Jessica Chastain will actually play an elf (Thranduil related or not) will have to wait to be seen. So far, no announcements have been made recognizing any actors as attached to the Lord of the Rings reboot project as the reboot is still in the early pre-production phase.

While she has not yet been announced to be attached to the new Lord of the Rings project, Jessica Chastain is an accomplished American actress and producer known for her powerful performances in projects with feminist themes. Her exceptional talent has earned her an Academy Award, a Golden Globe Award, and a Tony Award nomination. Time magazine recognized her impact by naming her one of the 100 most influential people in the world in 2012.

Jessica Chastain’s passion for acting emerged early in her life, leading her to make her professional stage debut in 1998. She honed her skills at the renowned Juilliard School and secured a talent-holding deal with television producer John Wells. Her breakthrough came in 2011 with notable films such as Take Shelter and The Tree of Life, earning her Academy Award nominations for The Help and Zero Dark Thirty

Jessica Chastain has since achieved commercial success in films like Interstellar and The Martian, and she continues to impress with her portrayals of strong-willed women in projects like A Most Violent Year, Miss Sloane, and Molly’s Game. In addition to her acting career, Chastain founded the production company Freckle Films, advocates for important causes, and is recognized as a true force in the entertainment industry. If it does turn out that Chastain will be a part of the Lord of the Rings reboot, we know that she will become a beloved part of the franchise.
