Robyn Bernard is best known for her role as Terry Brock on the long-running daytime soap opera General Hospital. Bernard’s character was an aspiring singer, whose musical career was turned upside down as she battled with alcoholism.

Robyn Bernard’s first role was in the 1981 film Diva, from which she leaped over to the small screen in TV guest appearances on Simon and Simon, Whiz Kids, and Facts of Life.

The actress’s post-soap opera career was scant, with only three screen credits after she departed General Hospital in 1990. Bernard was in a single episode of the British TV series Maigret in 1992, followed by a role in the 1997 French film Kings for a Day and the 2002 production of Voices from the High School.

Robyn Bernard is the older sister of actress/singer Crystal Bernard. The two stars began their careers as child singers, before both delved into acting in the early 1980s.

Crystal Bernard is best known for portraying Helen Chappel-Hackett on the 1990s NBC sitcom Wings, after finding her way through several 1980s TV shows including Happy Days and It’s a Living.

When Robyn Bernard was 10, and her sister Crystal was 8, the two were recorded singing gospel tracks at a live performance at a Texas church led by the late Reverend Jerry Falwell. As young girls, the sisters became known in the Houston area for their beautiful voices, a talent that eventually led them both to careers as actresses. While Crystal’s star rose higher than Robyn’s, both kept busy with films and TV shows throughout the 1980s.

The Gladewater, TX native retired from acting in 2002 and kept herself out of the spotlight for the most part over the last two decades. Save for occasional public appearances in the early part of the 2000s, the former actress let her star quickly fade away. Along with her sister Crystal Bernard, Robyn Bernard is survived by her father, actor Jerry Wayne Bernard and her sisters Scarlett Bernard and Angelique Bernard.
