Brie Larson is giving flower power vibes in a floral patterned onesie and combed-back hair. The Avengers: Endgame star posted pictures from this year’s Cannes Film Festival to her Instagram yesterday with the caption, “Just some 2023 Cannes Film Festival things.” The skintight one-piece outfit makes a bold statement, much like the actress wearing it.

Two of the actress’s Instagram photos show her in a more casual mood wearing a multicolored, oversized button-down shirt with her hair down. Even without the body-hugging properties of Larson’s first outfit of the day, the colorful shirt looks great on her. Then again, it’s pretty hard for someone as gorgeous as Brie Larson not to look great, regardless of how she’s dressed.

This year marks the first time Brie Larson has attended Cannes as a juror and not simply an actor with a film to promote. She joins fellow American actor The Batman‘s Paul Dano along with Ruben Östlund, Titane-directing Palme d’Or winner Julia Ducournau, I Am Not a Witch breakout filmmaker Rungano Nyoni, actor Denis Ménochet, Argentinian director Damián Szifron, Afghani-born, French-based filmmaker Atig Ranimi and Moroccan director Maryam Touzani as the team assembled to judge this year’s crop of films submitted to the annual festival.

Brie looked like she was enjoying herself on her trip abroad despite not being able to dodge questions about the biggest talking point at this year’s Cannes Film Festival: the acting return of Johnny Depp. Depp was at Cannes with his first movie in years, the French-language Jeanne du Barry, a historical drama where the actor plays King Louis XV of France. Reporters asked Larson if she planned on attending a screening of the Johnny Depp comeback vehicle prompting the terse reply, “You’ll see if I see it, and I don’t know how I’ll feel about it if I do.”

Jeanne du Barry isn’t entered in the official competition and thus isn’t required viewing by the jurors, something Brie Larson was no doubt thinking about when she expressed her frustration over being asked about the movie. “You’re asking me that?” Larson responded when first asked whether she would see Depp’s film during a juror press conference.  “I’m sorry, I don’t understand the correlation or why me specifically.”

Most of the questions during Tuesday’s presser were directed toward Brie Larson, including one about whether superhero blockbusters should be shown at the same festival as small-scale indy art films. Larson answered very diplomatically, stating that she could only speak for herself and that she brings the same level of preparation to a role no matter the movie’s budget. “A film is a film,” the actress said before stressing that the movies being shown during the festival would have a wide range of topics and perspectives.

Other topics lobbed at the jurors included the ongoing writers strike currently plaguing Hollywood. Paul Dano handled that particular subject stating his support for the writers fighting for better wages in the era of streaming content. Dano mentioned that his wife, actress Zoe Kazan, was picketing with the couple’s 6-month-old child in tow and that he would be joining them both on the picket line after the festival.

There’s no telling what other sexy outfits Brie Larson will wear over the course of her time as a Cannes juror, but fans are sure to enjoy whatever the Captain Marvel actress posts to her Instagram in the coming days.
