Free-spirited actress Kate Hudson spent the weekend sharing a look into her wellness regimen. Posting multiple times to Instagram, the Almost Famous starlet shared pictures and videos of herself rocking her activewear brand Fabletics, hitting some yoga poses, and dancing it out. And while the graceful chassé from this weekend was thankfully nothing like the quick-footed dance moves once performed by Hudson in the 2011 rom-com flop Something Borrowed, the positive vibes emanating from the mother of three show how beloved the bubbly celebrity remains.

Kate Hudson started her Instagram posts off with pictures from her workout.

Kate Hudson then treated her followers to a video that better showed what she’s exploring in her new fitness routine.

Starting off the weekend with some pictures, Kate Hudson posted five shots of herself on Instagram for her 14.5 million followers. With the caption, “It’s a dance Saturday for me” the 42-year-old wore black bell-bottomed yoga pants with a matching sports bra from Fabletics–a complete look from the trendy activewear line she helped to found. She accessorized the fit look with two gold necklaces and a pair of white, black, and orange Nikes. With her hair pulled up high into a messy bun, the How To Lose a Guy in 10 Days star displayed some of her yoga skills through pigeon and warrior pose. Later in the day, Hudson took to Instagram again. This time, the mother of three shared a video. Still, in the same outfit in her at-home gym, Kate gracefully danced for the camera to “All Through the Night” by Sleeping At Last, a cover of the classic Cyndi Lauper song.

As the founder of Fabletics, an activewear company, and a spokesperson for WeightWatchers, Kate Hudson is a frequent advocate for staying healthy. “To me, my mental health and stability can be very tied to how active I have been. It truly changes my brain. When I’m done working out, I just feel a thousand times better”, she told Yahoo Life this past November. And it likely comes to absolutely no one’s surprise that her favorite outlet for both stress and fitness would be through dance. “Fitness, for me, is my number one. I grew up dancing and moving. If I’m not active, if I’m not moving, I don’t feel good at all. I literally came home from my dinner last night, and I hadn’t really moved, so I just did some weird dance moves in the bathroom.” After co-founding Fabletics in 2013, Hudson continued on with her fitness journey momentum. In 2016, Hudson released her first book, Pretty Happy: Healthy Ways to Love Your Body, and in 2017, she released her second book, Pretty Fun: Creating and Celebrating a Lifetime of Tradition

Kate Hudson is no stranger to the limelight. While her acting career didn’t take off until the turn of the century following her breakthrough role as Penny Lane in Almost Famous, her personal life was no stranger to the media. Born in 1979 to Academy Award-winning actress Goldie Hawn and Bill Hudson, an actor, comedian, and musician, Hudson was destined to live a celebutante life. In the first decade of the 2000s Hudson was one of the most sought out actresses for roles in romantic comedies.

While still appearing in film, Kate Hudson has largely taken a step back from acting as she enjoys her business in other ventures. Aside from Fabletics and her books, Kate has collaborated with New York & Company, Inc with a multi-year deal, consisting of being the ambassador for its US$200 million Soho Jeans collection, all while simultaneously creating her own fashion line for the brand. Similarly, Hudson has collaborated with her mother Goldie to create a capsule collection, with part of the proceeds being donated to a group within the Goldie Hawn Foundation. While the mother of three enjoys her newfound passions in fitness and fashion, she still nods to her upbringing. Kate Hudson is set to appear in the upcoming film Knives Out 2, the sequel to the 2019 blockbuster mystery.
