Channing Tatum is no stranger to nudity, having already played a starring role in a movie about male strippers. So yeah, this dude isn’t exactly camera shy in any way, shape, or form. And why should he be? There’s a certain chiseled (understatement) aesthetic that lends itself to taking a specific kind of selfie when the moment and feeling strikes. Well, now the actor has done it again, this time throwing up a decidedly NSFW photo on Instagram.
The picture that Channing Tatum put up on the social media platform is from his trailer on the set of Lost City of D, the next movie for the actor. According to the post, we are likely to get quite an eyeful of the actor who could be in a couple of compromising situations as the story plays out. Check out what he had to say about the role and why he was “caught” not wearing any clothes in this particular situation.
Channing Tatum is pretty candid in the Instagram story letting everyone know that he’s naked in the trailer because he’s also about to get naked on the set. He’s rather descriptive in what’s going down, in line with the actual picture itself, and apparently is going to need to give his mother the heads up before she actually goes and sees the movie. What the scene is specifically, isn’t known but the plot of the movie lends itself to a few different scenarios.
Lost City of D will star Sandra Bullock, Brad Pitt, Channing Tatum and Daniel Radcliffe in what looks like will be a comedy adventure. Bullock plays a romance novelist who, along with the cover model for her steamy books, is taken hostage in the jungle. Tatum is that model and it looks like before it’s all said and done, he’s going to bare it all for the camera. Is it on the cover of one of the books or is it in the middle of the jungle, on that hunt for the, um, lost city in mention?
Of course, Channing Tatum has some experience in this realm already. He’s taken to the big screen twice in the role of a male stripper. That was in Magic Mike and Magic Mike XXL. In those, he was there for the steamy entertainment levels in what amounted to pretty good movies. The actor has no issue with these kinds of scenes and it makes sense that this next movie would want to lean into his ability to go full-frontal if the moment calls for it. If he’s the vapid male model on display in this film then it could lead to a lot of laughs.
In addition to Lost City of D, Channing Tatum has also been cast in Wingmen with Joseph Gordon-Levitt. The latter is directing and starring in the film which is reportedly a musical comedy about two airline pilots. It’s not your conventional script or premise, but with these two it could get very funny, very quickly. It’s unlikely Channing Tatum would feel the need to strip it down in that film, but I suppose anything is possible.
