English model and actress Cara Delevingne has seen a lot of ups and downs in a career full of interesting acting prospects and international fame. Beginning as a model when she was just ten years old, Delevingne transitioned into acting with roles in acclaimed films and television series such as Joe Wright’s Anna Karenina, Paper Towns, Suicide Squad, Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets, Carnival Row, and the upcoming second season of Hulu’s Only Murders in the Building. Off set, Delevingne has seen a lot of controversy via antics that have been posted to social media, most notably a recent video making the rounds on Twitter where users are asking to cancel the actress.

At the Billboard Music Awards that aired on NBC last night, Cara Delevingne made sure everyone at home paid attention to her throughout the red-carpet events, in the audience at the award show, as well as during one particular video that has seemed to annoy Twitter users tremendously. As seen here in the video that sparked the cancel conversation, Delevingne is practically licking a performer and frustrating fans who didn’t understand what she was doing. Looking like she had the time of her life, upset fans at home weren’t too pleased with her behavior:

However, Cara Delevingne’s unruly high jinks didn’t stop there. It seemed that the actress was seen all evening as a sort of shadow to rapper Megan Thee Stallion, following closely on the red carpet and coincidentally sitting next to the “WAP” singer during the awards show. As reported by Teen Vogue, Delevingne watched Megan Thee Stallion walk the red carpet, often appearing in photos outwardly lurking in the background. This received a lot of trending attention on Twitter:

During the show, fans were quick to realize that Cara Delevingne was seated next to the singer, and directly behind Doja Cat, which meant that every time the camera pointed at the megawatt performers, Delevingne enjoyed the spotlight as well. This also angered some Twitter users, who have called Delevingne out for silliness that may have gone too far. This frustration heightened during the telecast as Delevingne popped out of nowhere to make herself be seen:

While many of Cara Delevingne’s pranks were met with irritation from fans on Twitter, many took to the social media platform to joke about her with amusing memes to mark the occasion. Some users wanted to call attention to how often Delevingne appeared on screen around Megan Thee Stallion:

But then there were other Twitter users that decided to talk about the optics of Cara Delevingne and her behavior towards black women in general. From the below video, she seems to be in the personal space of the woman performing. Especially considering she is awkwardly staring at the woman from top to bottom:

Through all of this, Cara Delevingne received a lot of attention from fans and haters alike, which might have been what she was going for in the first place. While she has yet to comment on her behavior, Delevingne’s official Twitter profile boasts about embracing being weird to her 9.3 million followers, as well as stating that she is an “unprofessionally professional human being.” And even though Doja Cat and Megan Thee Stallion weren’t the big winners of the evening, Cara Delevingne may be having the last laugh with her own fans after all.
