X-Wing Fighter Made Out Of Beer Cans

This combines two of the best things in life: the Star Wars saga and beer. There’s always the question of what to do with all of those empty aluminum cans that you leave scattered around in your wake. Sure, you could do the responsible thing and rinse them out and recycle them. But that’s boring.
A man named Tamás Kánya had a better idea. And his endeavor is kind of like recycling. The cans aren’t going to waste, he’s simply reusing them to make something rad. In this case what he’s done is craft an X-Wing fighter, like the kind piloted by Luke Skywalker, out of empty cans of Kaiser beer.
Most of us never would have thought to use what is generally considered refuse to make Star Wars memorabilia, but we can be glad that someone out there did. It looks like some of the pieces probably came off of a preexisting toy. For instance, there’s the top of R2-D2’s head, and the cover for the cockpit. Still, this is pretty damn inventive, and an excellent bit of art using found or everyday objects.
It’s funny that the finished X-Wing is posed with a can of Kaiser, as if you wouldn’t be able to tell what it was made from otherwise. They should really get on trying to use this as a part of their marketing strategy. Of course, it would probably cost a lot to get permission to use a piece of Star Wars lore in a commercial, and much of the franchise’s target audience isn’t exactly of legal beer-drinking age. Still, I’d buy a half-rack of X-Wing beer. I’ve bought beer with worse gimmicks.
