Watch This Fun, Blood-Soaked Short Inspired By Dead Rising 3

Just because Halloween has come and gone, it doesn’t mean that we’re going to forget about the creepy, horrific side of things. If you’re having zombie withdrawals and just can’t wait it out until later tonight when The Walking Dead hits the airwaves, we’ve got something that just might carry you through. Inspired by the videogame Dead Rising 3, this short movie simply called Fear might be the gory fix you’re looking for.
There’s not really too much to this four-minute horror offering than a tooling up scene and some wholesale zombie slaughter, which may be enough to satisfy your bloodlust. Set three weeks after a zombie outbreak, a trio of friends, all unnamed, fight their way through the remnants of society. It appears you can keep the infection at bay, but they’re out of whatever meds they need to accomplish this—apparently called Zombrex—and they’re out looking for more.
That’s about it, but at least they get some inventive weapons. Never having played the games, I don’t know if all of these appear in the action, but I know that at least the sledgehammer/saw hybrid is lifted straight from that. You’ve also got some other goodies, like boxing gloves with knives taped to the back and my personal favorite, the giant teddy bear with a machine gun. Who knows how effective any of these would be (none of them are particularly practical), but they definitely get style and creativity points. And considering what it is, the production value on this is pretty high. If nothing else, they have a decent number of zombies running around, and it isn’t always easy to assemble that many people in one place, let alone douse them all in decent looking zombie make up and applications.
