TUESDAY

Star Trek: The Next Generation marathon (BBC America, 8 a.m. / 7c)

BBC will be kicking things off this week with a tour through a bunch of fifth season Next Gen episodes, beginning with the excellent “Unification” two-parter. (That’s the one where Leonard Nimoy returns in the role of Spock, teaming with Picard for a dangerous mission into Romulan space.)

The Walking Dead marathon (AMC, 9 a.m. / 8c)

If your tastes run more towards post-apocalyptic survival than interstellar diplomacy, AMC is marathoning all the way through The Walking Dead beginning Tuesday morning and running through damn near till dawn.

WEDNESDAY

Doctor Who marathon (BBC America, 8 a.m. / 7c)

It’s a weird mix of Doctor Who that BBCA is serving up today, beginning with several episodes from season two (David Tennant’s first), then the Christmas episode “Voyage of the Damned.” Then you’ll get a weird mixture of season 8 episodes (“Deep Breath,” “Dark Water,” “Death in Heaven”), followed by a repeat of this year’s Christmas special, the Tennant-era capper “The End of Time,” and finally Matt Smith’s swan song “The Time of the Doctor.”

The Twilight Zone marathon (Syfy, 8 a.m. / 7c)

Syfy is airing episodes of Rod Serling’s classic Twilight Zone all day long. If you’re looking to DVR a few of the show’s best, I recommend “Walking Distance” (4:30), “The Monsters Are Due on Maple Street” (7:30), “To Serve Man” (9:00), and “Nightmare at 20,000 Feet” (9:30).

The Walking Dead marathon continues (AMC, 2/1c)

It’s wall-to-wall Walking Dead today on AMC, beginning at 2 p.m. (1 CST) with “Seed,” the first episode of season three. It has Rick and the survivors taking up residence in an abandoned prison.

THURSDAY

The Twilight Zone marathon continues (Syfy, 6 a.m. / 5c)

Submitted for your approval, more Twilight Zone than you can shake a stick at. (Why would you even do that though?)

The Walking Dead marathon continues continuing (AMC, All Day)

Today’s episodes will take you all the way through season four, episode 11 (“Claimed”), with the survivors on the road and searching for Terminus.

FRIDAY

The Walking Dead marathon just won’t stop (AMC, All Day)

By 9 p.m. you’ll be up to date with the midseason finale, “Coda.” Now you can just the rest of us in the long wait until the show returns on February 8th.

Z Nation (Syfy, 8 a.m. / 7c)

If you’ve been curious about Syfy’s Walking Dead wannabe Z Nation will be marathoning episodes most of the day. Weirdly, it’s skipping the first episode and beginning with the second, but after that it will take you all the way through the first season. You can always rent episode one from Amazon.

SUNDAY

The Librarians (TNT, 8/7c) — “And the Fables of Doom”

The Librarians enter a town where fairy tales come to life, yet turn violent. Jonathan Frakes directed.

Resurrection (ABC, 9/8c) — “Prophecy”

Arcadia loses power when a violent storm hits; at the same time, the Langstons and Bellamy search for Jacob and Margaret, who seem to have disappeared; and a mysterious stranger arrives in town.
