The Walking Dead: Sneak Peeks And Behind The Scenes Videos For Next Week’s Episode “Internment”

Last night’s episode of The Walking Dead saw some major changes to the series’ cast. “Indifference” included two storylines that were set outside of the prison. It was really refreshing to spend time with characters outside of the prison wall, with Rick and Carol went on a run for food and medicine, while Daryl, Michonne, Tyreese, and Bob reached the veterinary college. AMC release a new promo and a sneak peek at next week’s episode, “Internment,” and new behind-the-scenes videos of last night’s episode.

The promo for “Internment” was the same “on the next episode of…” promo that aired after last night’s episode concluded. It featured the infected members of the group struggling to stay alive until the rest of the group returns to the prison with medicine. Hershel allowed himself to get infected so he could better take care of the infected, so it seems like only a matter of time before everyone dies or Hershel finds a cure. It also appears that something terrible might happen to Maggie. Hopefully, she doesn’t die, but at this point the series needs something unexpected to happen.

In the sneak peek, we find Hershel examining the group’s new doctor, Caleb. While Hershel’s actions are heroic, Caleb is convinced that the infection will end badly for everyone. The doctor tries to convince Hershel that he should save himself and get out while he still can, but Hershel is stubborn and wants to help. The sneak peek ends with Caleb’s eyes and ears bleeding, which indicates that he will most likely die at the end of the episode.

AMC also released two new behind-the-scenes videos from last night’s episode “Indifference.” The first video highlights the scene where Daryl, Michonne, Tyreese, and Bob reach the abandoned gas station looking for a new car and a new battery. The gas station is completely covered in Kudzu, Japanese arrowroot. It’s actually really cool to see how the visual effects artist combine practical and CGI effects to create an awesome zombie attack scene. When you’re watching the show, you really don’t realize how much CGI special effects are used because it looks so seamless.

The last behind-the-scenes video features Carol and her last day with the group. Carol has emerged as one of the more interesting characters on The Walking Dead. When she first appeared on the show, she was meek and forgettable, but as the series progressed, she turned into one of the most badass survivors in the group. Although it was revealed that she did kill Karen and David, she did it to save the group from the infection, which happened to the group anyway despite her efforts.

Rick’s punishment for Carol was to kick her out of the prison to fend for herself in the wilderness. It seems that this won’t be the last time we see the character. I wouldn’t be surprised if she turns up in a later episode. Maybe she finds the Governor and joins his group. Either way, word about Carol’s banishment will reach the rest of the group, which will likely cause more drama. Man, George Romero was right, The Walking Dead IS just “a soap opera with a zombie occasionally.”

The Walking Dead will air episode five of season four, “Internment,” next Sunday November 10th on AMC. Until then, watch this amazing scene between Bob and Daryl. It was my favorite moment in last night’s episode and shows that Daryl is a badass!
