New Walking Dead Season Three Photos Give Us More Looks At Michonne And The Governor

By Brent McKnight | 8 years ago

Season three of AMC’s The Walking Dead promises to be a memorable one. We still have a while to wait before the October 14th premiere, but until then we can look forward to seeing newcomers like Michonne (Dania Gurira) and the Governor (David Morrissey). Both characters have been a long time coming, and they’re sure to make a massive impact on the course of the zombie drama. Michonne’s swordplay alone will liven things up.

Of course the usual suspects such as Rick (Andrew Lincoln), Lori (Sarah Wayne Callies), Carl (Chandler Riggs), Glenn (Steven Yeun), Andrea (Laurie Holden), Carol (Melissa McBride), Daryl (Norman Reedus), Hershel (Scott Wilson), and Maggie (Lauren Cohan), will also be back for another round. And everyone’s favorite rampaging racist, Merle (Michael Rooker), will also be back again to stir the pot, minus one hand.

EW has a new batch of photos from season three. Overall this gallery contains a nice cross-section that includes character posters, shots from actual episodes, and behind-the-scenes looks.

Some of the pics give you a close-up view of the new additions, while others prominently feature familiar faces. The most interesting pieces in this collection, however, are the action-centric shots. For instance, there are some nice images of the group clearing out the interior of the prison that they settle into.

There’s a nice one of Andrea and the Governor on the streets of his fortified town of Woodbury. And another with unfinished special effects with one of Michonne’s “pets”—aka the zombies she keeps chained to herself in order to shield herself from the walkers.

Check out the rest below.
