Last weekend, the cast and crew of The Walking Dead took the stage at The Paley Center for Media in Los Angeles, California during the 30th annual PaleyFest. The Paley Organization celebrates the very best in television. The Nerdist’s Chris Hardwick conducted the panel featuring the zombie series’ cast and crew. If you weren’t lucky enough to attend the Q&A, The Walking Dead panel is now available online. Watch the video below:

Attending the panel were actors Andrew Lincoln, Sarah Wayne Callies, Laurie Holden, Norman Reedus, Steven Yeun, Lauren Cohan, Danai Gurira, Emily Kinney, and Scott Wilson. Producer Greg Nicotero and comic book creator Robert Kirkman joined executive producer Gale Anne Hurd on the Paley Center stage.

The biggest takeaway from the panel is Robert Kirkman’s view of Carl’s journey through the series. Kirkman says:

Carl really is one of my favorite aspects of the comic and the show … Watching this kid grow and change and evolve the way that he has and go from this kid who’s almost a burden to this kid who’s now a child soldier is just this really cool exploration of the world of The Walking Dead, seeing how people grow or change over time.

Before the panel discussion, the attendees watched the first 10 minutes of last Sunday’s episode — “Clear” — with a few bonus materials that will be part of the season three Blu-ray/DVD set. The panel was 90 minutes long, but surprisingly moderator Chris Hardwick didn’t ask about The Walking Dead’s new showrunner, Scott Gimple, or the exit of their previous showrunner, Glen Mazzara.

The Walking Dead‘s next episode — “Arrow on the Doorpost” — will air March 10th on AMC.
