The production of director Jose Padilha’s remake of the classic action film RoboCop is in full swing. While the film is shooting in Toronto, Canada, they seem to be pretty lax with security on location. It seems like anyone passing by with a camera-phone can either snap a shot (or video) of actor Joel Kinnaman in the new RoboCop suit, or zipping around on his futuristic new RoboCop motorcycle. Now a new video has surfaced capturing the new RoboCop in action. Check it out below:

The original film had RoboCop driving around in a standard Ford Crown Victoria police car, so it’s a little weird to see RoboCop on a futuristic  motorcycle. If the rumors are correct, the footage may get weirder, what with RoboCop’s purported ability to transform into “social mode.”

There was also a new batch of on-location photos taken by bystanders on the streets of Toronto, including footage of RoboCop wielding a new gun. There’s no telling why RoboCop doesn’t have his helmet on in this spy photo. Check them out below:

Sony recently pushed the release date of RoboCop from August 9, 2013, to February 7, 2014. This was so Neill Blompkamp’s Elysium could move into a nice summer slot. It’s unclear if this will help or hurt RoboCop’s chances, but it should give the production team time to figure things out. Brazilian director José Padilha is a very good director and it will be interesting to see what he can do with an American production.

RoboCop features actors Joel Kinnaman, Abbie Cornish, Gary Oldman, Michael Keaton, Samuel L. Jackson, Jackie Earle Haley, Michael K. Williams, and Jay Baruchel. It will open in theaters everywhere on February 7, 2014.
