Michael Bay’s Transformers: Age of Extinction, the fourth film in multi-billion dollar franchise, is one of the most highly-anticipated movies of the summer. There is still no official trailer, but as the June release date approaches, we’ve been getting more and more little tidbits about giant robot adventure. While not an actual trailer, his short new clip features some new footage and teases much more that is on the way.

This video is just a brief snippet of the larger reel that will appear this Tuesday, March 4, on Entertainment Tonight. You’re promised all sorts of new film, including new scenes, but this clip gives you some quick glimpses at what the show will unveil. For the full reveal, you’ll have to tune in at 7:30pm on Tuesday, though you can also bet that it will hit the Internet shortly after that. This sort of thing never takes too long to come out.

In the footage that’s available at the present time, there is still quite a bit to take in, though we have seen a lot of what is here before. Just in case you weren’t paying attention, it starts off with an explosion that will definitely wake you up. We’re talking about a big ass explosion, too, but you expect nothing less from Bay. For all of his faults, the man knows how to blow some shit up real good. From there, you get a couple of nice close ups of what I’m pretty sure are Autobot leader Optimus Prime, and Megatron, the head of the evil Decepticons.

One of the things that many fans look forward to seeing in Age of Extinction, are the Dinobots. We caught our first look at them during the Super Bowl in early February, and there are a couple more here, though if you blink you’ll miss them. Hopefully Tuesday will bring a more in depth look at them. There’s also that sweet looking Transformer with parachutes and a gun in each hand, blasting away. If nothing else, this is going to wall-to-wall big time action.

The human side of the story is also well represented here. Mark Wahlberg is, of course, the biggest star, and his character, an inventor named Cade, gets the bulk of the flesh-and-bone screen time, most of which is spent running and yelling. But there is, however, also a shot of Nicole Peltz, who plays Cade’s daughter Tessa.

The plot of Age of Extinction follows the adventures of Cade and Tessa, and her boyfriend Shane (Josh Reynor). They discover a buried Transformer, which kicks off a return of the giant alien robots. We’ve also heard that the government has been making their own versions of the Transformers, based on what they were able to dig out of the rubble of Chicago after the end of Dark of the Moon.

Transformers: Age of Extinction also stars Stanley Tucci, Sophia Myles, T.J. Miller, Victoria Summer, Li Bingbing, Titus Welliver, Kelsey Grammer, and Peter Cullen, and opens everywhere June 27, 2014, in 3D and IMAX.
