A bunch of people trapped in a place they can’t escape, running from a shadowy alien monster that picks them off one by one? That sounds like a promising set-up for a science fiction-themed horror movie if you ask me, and it’s the basic premise of Johannes Roberts’ new creature feature, Storage 24. Check out the new US trailer below.

After a highly classified military transport plane crashes in the middle of London, the entire city descends into chaos. Turns out the primary cargo of this particular plane was an imprisoned alien killing machine. When the monster finds its way to a secure storage facility, Storage 24, it encounters a group of tasty human snacks. Completely unaware that anything out of the ordinary is going on, Charlie (Noel Clarke) and Shelly (Antonia Campell-Hughes), with their besties Mark (Colin O’Donoghue) and Nikki (Laura Haddock) in tow, are dividing up the contents of their shared storage space after a harsh breakup.

You can imagine what happens next. The friends are stuck. The alien is hungry and pissed off. Things don’t go well.

There’s a great deal of potential in this scenario. You won’t get your ears blown off by the originality, but if handled well, Storage 24 could be an effective horror yarn. It looks like a good time. And from what you can see from this trailer, the creature effects look solid: a little Alien, a little Feast.

Magnet will release Storage 24 on demand starting December 6th, with a limited theatrical run following on January 11th.
