We all know that Star Wars: Episode VII will be an unstoppable force (no pun intended) when it is released in theaters in 2015. With the new trilogy such a huge event, it’s no surprise that almost every actor in Hollywood is itching at the chance to appear in the first Star Wars movie in 10 years.

To catalog interest in Star WarsTotal Film put together a video featuring 17 prominent actors and directors talking about possibly appearing in the upcoming Star Wars: Episode VII for director J.J. Abrams. Although no one is officially cast in the new movie, it’s interesting to see who wants to be in the film. Check it out:

Could you picture Eli Roth’s version of a young Han Solo or a Greedo stand-alone movie? It’s good to see Joss Whedon and Bryan Singer sounding off as well. Whedon and Singer would be great choices to helm Episode VIII or Episode IX. Jason Statham’s thoughts and comments about Star Wars (or sci-fi in general) being “something stupid” are genuinely disheartening, however. Clearly he’s got a little Sith in him.
