Droids on Pearl Harbor

It’s common knowledge that the events of Star Wars unfolded a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away. Or at least that’s what they’d like us to believe. But what if the whole thing, the Jedi and the Sith and the droids and the bad feelings about this, was all happening here on Earth? A secret history, hidden in the corners of photographs and flickering by in your peripheral vision.

That’s the bonkers concept behind If Star Wars Was Real, a site dedicated to exposing the secret Star Wars history that’s been happening all along. They’ve got plenty of evidence, with elements from George Lucas’ movie series — obviously based on real events — appearing alongside some of the most iconic moments of our species’ history. For instance, remember that mysterious guy on the grassy knoll during the assassination of JFK? Turns out he was wearing Mandalorian battle armor.
