Miltos YerolemouHave you ever rewatched the first season of Game of Thrones, specifically those scenes when young Arya Stark (Maisie Williams) learns to fence from maestro Syrio Forel, and thought, “What’s that dude been up to? He should be in way more stuff.” If you have, you’re in luck, because that actor, Miltos Yerolemou, has just been cast to appear in a galaxy far, far away in J.J. Abrams’ upcoming Star Wars: Episode VII.

Surprise, surprise, there’s no word on his role, but the BBC reports that he has indeed joined the cast in some unspecified role. According to the article, Yerolemou’s presence is not expected to be a particularly major one, but given his background and penchant for handling a sword, you better believe everyone is going to suspect that he’ll wield a lightsaber at some point. That sounds like a pretty safe bet from where we sit.

If the recent rumors about the potential villains are true, it’s possible he could play one of their ranks. We’ve heard that there are still Sith forces lurking out there somewhere in the galaxy—they’ve been referred to as things like Jedi hunters and Inquisitors thus far, but we don’t really know what they’ll be called in the final film—and that evil strand of the Jedi line has a penchant for the franchise’s trademark weapon. So maybe he’ll be one of these shadowy figures. It’s entirely possible we won’t even see his face in the movie, just his sword handling capabilities and artistic flourishes with a blade.

Yerolemou is the second Game of Thrones veteran to join battle between the light and dark sides of the Force. Back in June, Gwendoline Christie also joined the party. Though the two never even appeared in the same season together—Yerolemou’s character gets killed off early on, while Christie’s is still going strong—they both share a penchant for swordplay. There have been rumors floating around that Christie’s character is one of the bad guys, as well as hints that her character was originally written as a man, but gender swapped because why the hell not. She’s just as convincing a badass as any man out there.

As you probably expect by now, Lucasfilm declined to make any official comment on the casting, but filming did resume last week after a two-week hiatus surrounding the broken leg Harrison Ford suffered on set earlier in production. Things are once again rolling at the legendary Pinewood Studios.

Since his stint on GoT, Yerolemou has spent much of his time on stage, appearing with the Royal Shakespeare Company, where, again, his particular set of skills probably served him well. He was also recently involved in filming an adaptation of the Booker Prize-winning novel Wolf Hall by Hilary Mantel, for BBC.

Star Wars: Episode VII is scheduled to open everywhere on December 18, 2015.
