Say what you will about the direction George Lucas has taken the franchise in the past couple of decades, but there’s one area where Star Wars‘ legacy is still being explored with creativity and passion. Yes, George may be whining about mean fans and releasing spectacularly awful trailers for the 3D re-release of The Phantom Menace these days, but there are still millions of fans out there making cool stuff to express their love of the films. Thanks to the internets, we all get to share in that, allowing us to see awesome things like a crowdsourced, fan-made remake of the first Star Wars film. Or, for instance, a set of wicked-cool bits of Star Wars art rigged to look like old-school boxing posters. Just looking at ’em makes me wanna lace up my shoes for kickboxing and hit the ring. Take a look below and see if you feel the same way.

You can see all four of the posters below, advertising such unforgettable title bouts as the “Brouha on Mustafar” and “Skywalker vs. Vader Head to Head.” They’re the work of DeviantArt contributor Old Red Jalopy. Damned impressive, but I have to ask: where’s the poster for the Qui-Gon/Obi-Wan/Darth Maul fight? That was the only good part of Episode I.
