Star Trek has created quite the fictional timeline during its 46 years of life. From a modest initial run of three seasons beginning in 1966, it’s gone on to spawn five TV spinoffs, 12 feature films, and countless other media including books, games, toys, and more. Trek has changed a lot over the years, while still hewing close to Gene Roddenberry’s optimistic, aspirational vision of mankind’s future.
