Stan Lee is the ultimate geek icon. The 90-year-old co-creator of Spider-Man, the X-Men, and the Silver Surfer knows a few things when it comes to the art of storytelling. The latest video from his “Stan’s Rants” web video series finds the former president and chairman of Marvel Comics teaming up with the folks at “How It Should Have Ended” to showcase how Stan thoughts on a couple of notable sci-fi films, namely the Star Wars saga and Christopher Nolan’s Inception. Watch the video below.

The web series is available on Stan Lee’s YouTube Channel. The highlight of the two-minute video is how Stan Lee would’ve ended each movie in the Star Wars prequel trilogy. There are also a couple of cool Easter eggs in George Lucas’ office, including Jar-Jar Binks encased in Carbonite, a sexually suggestive Howard the Duck, and the ancient Peruvian gold idol from Raiders of the Lost Ark.

While the ending to the original Star Wars is almost perfect, it’s funny to see someone like Stan Lee “improve” on its ending. As for Inception’s ending, it fits the overall tone of the film, and while it bothered some people who wanted a more definitive ending, Christopher Nolan was going for something more playful and fun.

It’s really amazing to see someone who is 90 years old still up and running and showing absolutely no signs of slowing down. Not only has Stan Lee created some of the most iconic comic book characters in history, he has also made cameo appearances in most of the modern Marvel superhero movies.

“The How It Should Have Ended” web series has been going strong since 2005. The most notable entries of the series include Looper, Prometheus, and Return of the Jedi.
