Appearances: “Marge vs. the Monorail” (1993), “The Springfield Files” (1997)
Fellow Trek veteran Leonard Nimoy has also logged some hours as a yellow-skinned visitor to Springfield. Unlike Takei, Nimoy played himself — or at least a satirical version of himself — both times. He first turned up in the classic episode “Marge vs. the Monorail” from the fourth season. He returned in the sci-fi-tinged episode “The Springfield Files,” an ep that also had an appearance from The X-Files’ FBI Agents Fox Mulder (David Duchovny) and Dana Scully (Gillian Anderson). Nimoy serves as a framing device for the story about an “alien” in Springfield, narrating a fictional show about alien encounters, in the vein of his own In Search Of….
