The Final Cut
Oman Naim’s futuristic 2004 thriller The Final Cut was another against-type role for Williams, who played a man skilled in splicing together the memories of the recently deceased, for use in a memorial ceremony. As movies about brain implants and people’s memories tend to do, this flick gets uncomfortable at times but is a great conversation starter about how this process would work if it became a reality. It works as a fine double feature with Christopher Nolan’s less-celebrated thriller Insomnia.
Robots
Okay, so this isn’t really a sci-fi movie, but robots are kind of in our wheelhouse so it gets a mention.
