Writer/director Rian Johnson’s new futuristic time travel action (that’s a lot of adjectives) movie, Looper, is currently garnering praise from fans and critics alike. And this isn’t limited solely to American audiences, we don’t have a monopoly on being genre nerds. With a tip of the cap to the international science fiction fan, here is a cool French poster for Looper.

The image has a nice, pulpy feel to it, like the well-worn cover of a trade paperback. And it gives you everything you need: shotguns, explosions, a fast car, an exotic dancer, and, of course, Bruce Willis.

For those of you who still don’t know about Looper—and if you’re reading this site, there probably aren’t many of you at this point—you really have no excuse at this point. Even if you don’t love it as much as a lot of people, it is still a fun, exciting film, and well worth watching for anyone who fancies themselves a sci-fi fan.

In the future of Looper, time travel has been invented, but is also highly illegal. Large criminal organizations, however, use the technology to their advantage. When they need someone gone, they send this person back in time, where a specialized assassin, called a looper, waits to execute the target. Joe (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) is one of these loopers. They live like rock stars in a time of poverty, strife, and class struggle. When Joe’s future self (Willis) shows up in his crosshairs, things start to go awry.

See, doesn’t that sound like a good time? What are you waiting for, go see Looper. Odds are you don’t have anything better to do tonight.
