Now that the wait is over and Ridley Scott’s Prometheus has finally landed in theaters stateside, NECA, the National Entertainment Collectables Association, has unveiled a pair of toys to accompany the film.

To be honest, I haven’t seen Prometheus yet, but I’ve watched a lot of the behind the scenes stuff and haven’t seen much of either of these two. So heads up, if you haven’t made it out to the theater yet you might want to hold off checking out the video and photos below. I don’t know how much, if anything, they give away.

The first figure is Engineer (Pressure Suit):

And here are the specs:

Figure height – 8.5″ tall
Ball-Jointed Neck
Ball Jointed Shoulders
Ball Jointed Torso
Insert Molded Ball-Hinge Elbows
Ball Jointed Wrists
Ball Jointed Hips
Insert Molded Ball-Hinge Knees
Ball Jointed Ankles

The second is Engineer (Chair Suit):

And the details on that:

Figure height – 8.5″ tall
Ball-Jointed Neck
Ball Jointed Shoulders
Ball Jointed Torso
Swivel Biceps
Insert Molded Ball-Hinge Elbows
Ball Jointed Wrists
Ball Jointed Hips
Insert Molded Ball-Hinge Knees
Ball Jointed Ankles
Flexible Hoses & Tubes

Keep in mind that these are just prototypes, and that the final product may change, but the level of detail is impressive, especially considering they’re only slightly taller than eight inches. These are reportedly only the first of many figures, and are scheduled to be released in September. According to the NECA website there is much more to come that will be announced at San Diego Comic Con in July. So expect to see more in the same vein coming down the pipe soon.
