As production on Transformers 4 gets underway, director Michael Bay has been releasing images of brand new Transformers in the forthcoming Transformers film. While Bay has also released images of the new-and-improved Transformers, Optimus Prime and Bumblebee, the action director has taken the opportunity to release a new image of an unknown Transformer in the new film. So really, it’s just an image of a very sexy car!

On his personal website, Michael Bay released an image of the Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 Coupe. Michael Bay did not indicate whether or not this vehicle would be an Autobot, a Decepticon, or even its name, but we can all agree that it’s a very beautiful car. Perhaps it’s the new-and-improved SideSwipe?

Recently, Michael Bay released images of new Transformers in the new film series including Autobots Hound, Drift, and Slingshot. These Transformers haven’t been featured in the first three Transformers movies, so Michael Bay and Hasbro are keeping to their word that the movie Transformers 4 will be a complete re-design of the film series featuring brand new Transformers.

Although there is no word on what the film’s plot or narrative would be, Transformers 4 would take place four years after the events of Transformers: Dark of the Moon. It will follow a new cast of actors including Mark Wahlberg, Jack Reynor, Nicola Peltz, Brenton Thwaites, Stanley Tucci, Sophia Myles, T.J. Miller, and Kelsey Grammer as the film’s human villain. It is believed that Transformers 4 would also feature one of the franchises greatest villains and fan-favorite Unicron and would also feature the Transformers civil war between Autobots and Decepticons on the planet Cybertron.

Transformers 4 will hit theaters everywhere on June 29, 2014, in IMAX and 3D.
