The Matrix Runs On Windows

In the Wachowskis’ original 1999 film The Matrix, Neo’s heroic journey centered on his growing understanding of the nature of his manufactured reality, and how to exploit and alter it using only his will and the realization that “there is no spoon.” His trek from curious doofus to online messianic superhero could have been a lot trickier if the Matrix were constructed differently. Or if, say, it was running on Windows XP…
The folks at College Humor did a great job with this one, from casting a decent Keanu lookalike to jabbing at pretty much everything that’s occasionally frustrating about Windows. Then again, if Windows was the operating system of choice within the Matrix universe, the robots would probably have blue-screened long before they decided to kill all humans.
I wonder, though, when Neo finally got to the Architect, would he have been Bill Gates?
