George Miller’s upcoming reboot of his high-octane, post-apocalyptic Mad Max franchise, Mad Max: Fury Road, has been a long time coming. Besieged by years worth of delays and production problems, Fury Road is finally putting images on film in Namibia. As with most highly-anticipated films, numerous set photos have been popping up all over the place.
One of the big draws of any Mad Max film has always been the cars, and Fury Road has no shortage of badass armored battle rides. And there just happen to be pictures of these vehicles.
Can’t wait to see these guys tear-assing around the desolate wasteland, causing a ruckus.
And who doesn’t look at this double-decker behemoth and start salivating a little bit thinking of all the lesser vehicles crushed beneath those massive tires?
We’ve seen a couple glimpses of this bad-boy already, but this view shows just what a monster it is.
This one just looks like a damn porcupine on wheels.
I don’t even know what the hell this beast is. Is it supposed to be one of the film’s vehicles, or is it some sort of production truck? I can’t imagine what it is for, in the movie or behind-the-scenes.
And finally here is a look at one of these fun little toys in action, zipping around the desert, kicking up sand.
Mad Max: Fury Road stars Tom Hardy as Max, a role made famous by Mel Gibson more than thirty years ago, and Charlize Theron as Furiosa. The story takes place shortly after the events of Beyond Thunderdome.
