Fringe is getting all sorts of intense, building up towards the second episode of the two part season finale. Interdimensional terrorists are trying to collapse universes, characters are back from the dead, Olivia (Anna Torv) and Peter (Joshua Jackson) are on the verge of moving in together, it’s complete mayhem. To set things up for the conclusion of season four, Fox has released the trailer for “Brave New World: Part Two.” The episode airs Friday, May 11 at 9pm Eastern and Pacific, 8pm Central.

If the beginning of this video seems familiar, that’s because in reality this is a continuation of the trailer for “Brave New World: Part One.” The earlier installment cut off abruptly part way through with a “come back for more later if you dare” message. Well we dared return, and hopefully you did, too. It’s good they stopped things when they did, because this extended version gives away three of the big reveals from “Part One.” It also gives us a brief glimpse at William Bell’s ultimate vision of a new world (there are lizards). Where this goes and how things unfold remains to be seen, but it is certainly going to be a bumpy, exciting ride.

Another video has also been released, this one of Leonard Nimoy and John Noble discussing the finale.

The two actors primarily talk about how much fun they had, how exciting it was to do scenes together, and the changing nature of the relationship between Dr. Walter Bishop (Noble) and William Bell (Nimoy). They drop hints as to the resolution of the William Bell story, or lack thereof. Moving into next season, the fifth and final, this absence of a tidy conclusion will most likely come into play. It will be interesting to watch the last season of Fringe play out, and if it will wrap up neat and pretty, providing the answers fans are after, or leave the majority of those questions hanging. The latter option would be the most fitting end to Fringe, to go out quietly is not their style, but we will just have to wait and see.
