Wait, Is Chris Pratt Training Freaking Velociraptors?
Chris Pratt was easily one of the most buzzed-about stars of 2014 thanks to his funny, charming performance as Star-Lord in Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, and with Jurassic World he’s got the shot to help revive a stagnant franchise and further cement his leading-man status. Pratt’s playing Owen, a Jurassic World scientist who conducts “behavioral research” on veliciraptors. But this latest trailer suggests that research might extend so far as actually training the bastards. We see him facing off against three of them, unarmed and seemingly in control of the situation. The velociraptors are one of the most iconic menaces of the Jurassic Park franchise, but could they be on the side of the angels this time around — or at least under Owen’s control? Either way, it’s an insight that makes us even more excited about that shot of Pratt hauling ass on a motorcycle while surrounded by his ‘raptor buddies.
