The marketing campaign for Guillermo del Toro’s upcoming monster movie, Pacific Rim, is in full gear. Until yesterday, the production was closed-lipped about almost every facet of the movie. As del Toro said at the San Diego Comic-Con this past summer, “We’re going into radio silence.” Now Warner Bros. has added to the torrent of Pacific Rim material released yesterday by releasing three more blueprints for the film’s giant robots, called “Jaegers.”

From top to bottom below, we’ve got the Russian “Cherno Alpha,” the Australian “Striker Eureka,” and the Japanese “Coyote Tango.” Each of them requires two pilots to control them; both pilots’ minds are locked together on a neutral bridge to control the Jaeger’s actions. At the moment, it’s unclear which Jaeger Raleigh Antrobus (Charlie Hunnam) & Mako Mori (Rinko Kikuchi) will pilot, but I’m sure we’ll find out as Pacific Rim‘s marketing push continues.

You can click on Striker Eureka and Cherno Alpha for larger versions, but the Coyote Tango is the biggest version we could find.

Yesterday, Warner Bros released a treasure trove of promotional materials for the movie. We got the first set of blueprints, for a Jaeger called “Gipsy Danger,” and two separate promo videos were released: the Kaiju Emergency Alert System test pattern and a TPN news report of a Kaiju (Japanese for “strange beast”) attack on San Diego. With only two weeks until the release of the film’s teaser trailer, expect to see a lot more from Pacific Rim.

If any of Pacific Rim’s promotional materials interest you, then please check out the Japanese Anime Neon Genesis Evangelion. The Anime’s premise is very similar to the movie Pacific Rim; only it has a vaguely religious bent to it. Both also feature giant robots battling giant sea monsters over the Pacific Ocean, only it’s a city called Tokyo-3, Japan instead of San Francisco, California.

Pacific Rim features Charlie Hunnam, Rinko Kikuchi, Idris Elba, Ron Perlman, and Charlie Day. The movie will open in theaters everywhere on July 12th 2013 in IMAX 3D.
