Infographic Teaches You How To Survive A Zombie Apocalypse

In case you haven’t noticed, zombies are just about everywhere these days. I don’t mean that there’s an actual zombie plague going on outside or anything (you probably would have noticed that), but the undead bastards are still popping up all over the place. The Walking Dead is pulling down massive ratings on AMC, there’s a tie-in with Hyundai, and now the threat of a zombie apocalypse is being used to market camping gear.

Seattle-based outdoor retailer REI has created this new infographic in hopes of selling a few more tactical flashlights, insulated vests, and first aid kits. Click HERE for a bigger version.

This graphic is broken down into two main areas. The first is a list of things that might come in handy for various reasons should the zombie shit hit the fan. And it just so happens that these are all things available at your local REI, such as a sturdy pair of hiking boots, cast-iron skillet, waterproof matches, hand-crank radio, and many more.

Part two is a list of useful zombie-survival skills, like how to bludgeon a walking corpse with that previously mentioned cast-iron skillet, or how to apply moleskin to a blister on the sole of your foot. Again, all using handy-dandy REI products. It even urges you to evacuate urban centers in the event the dead start rising from the grave. It stands to reason that an isolated rural setting would be much safer than a crowded city center.

At the very end is a list of educational resources, including a selection of films, books, comics, and random media that may help you live through such an epidemic. You have some homework to do.
