With Catching Fire about to be released on home video in a few months, it’s never too early to start the marketing push for the next installment. Now Lionsgate has released the film’s first teaser poster, which features a variation of a very familiar logo.

If you watched Catching Fire (and considering its hefty box office, there’s a good chance that you did), you’ll recall that the film ends with Katniss Everdeen waking up to the evils of The Capitol and President Snow. She becomes the new face of the rebellion that hopes to bring an end to the oligarchy, as the film smash cuts to black and the Catching Fire logo turns into the Mockingjay symbol. It’s a powerful conclusion to the film, and the teaser poster sticks with that image, putting the Mockingjay logo front and center.

Looking at the past entries in the film series, we can plainly see that The Hunger Games movies follow the same pattern when it comes to marketing. The film’s logo changes from film to film to illustrate Katniss’ progression from cog in the machine to symbol of the rebellion. If history teaches us anything, the next Mockingjay poster will feature Katniss on the run with her trusty bow and arrow. Check out The Hunger Games teaser poster progression below:

Fandango recently announced that Mockingjay – Part One was voted the most anticipated movie of 2014. Catching Fire was the highest-grossing movie in the United States this past year, grossing $418.1 million domestically, while taking in $854 million worldwide. it seems like a slam-dunk that Mockingjay will break those records. The Hunger Games franchise is printing money for Lionsgate.

After being disqualified from the 75th Hunger Games, or Third Quarter Quell, Katniss Everdeen agrees to be the face of the new revolution against the Capitol. Gale Hawthorne rises to a leadership role, while Peeta Mellark continues to be a victim of President Snow’s brainwashing after being captured during the deadly competition. It’s unclear where in Mockingjay‘s story in the first movie will end and the second will begin, but a natural break in the story occurs just before the rebels invade the Capitol. Prepare for another cliffhanger ending.

Mockingjay also features returning stars Jennifer Lawrence, Liam Hemsworth, Josh Hutcherson, Woody Harrelson, Elizabeth Banks, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Donald Sutherland, Sam Claflin, Jeffrey Wright, Jena Malone, Meta Golding, and adds Julianne Moore, Stef Dawson, Natalie Dormer, Evan Ross, Lily Rabe, Patina Miller, and Mahershalalhashbaz Ali to its ensemble cast.

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part One hits theaters everywhere on November 21, 2014, while Part Two will open on November 20, 2015.
