With only six months until the release of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, excitement and anticipation is starting to grow for the sequel film. A few weeks ago, Lionsgate released portrait images of the cast of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, and now they’ve released a teaser preview of the film’s upcoming teaser trailer.

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire teaser trailer will be released on Sunday, April 14th, during the MTV Movie Awards, hosted by Rebel Wilson (who is rumored to be joining The Hunger Games: Mockingjay). It’s a short promo that just introduces Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) and Peeta Mellark (Josh Hutcherson) as the winners of the 74th Hunger Games to District 12, their home district.

It’s really good to see the look and tone is intact with The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. There was some concern that the sequel film would seem a bit off because the production changed directors (Gary Ross to Francis Lawrence) between films. At least from this brief glimpse, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire looks the same to me.

Katniss and Peeta’s homecoming is short-lived, before they have to go back on the road for the Victory Tour to the Capitol. Traveling through the other Districts of Panem, Katniss gets a better idea of the emerging rebellion against President Snow (Donald Sutherland). When the duo reaches the Capitol, they participate in the Third Quarter Quell, or 75th Hunger Games, made up of the past 25 winners of The Hunger Games.

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire will hit theaters everywhere on November 22nd, in IMAX.
